Sleep apnea is a condition that most people don’t even know. You see, many people do not notice their breathing being slowed down or even temporarily halted all of a sudden. It is only when the easy breathing is suddenly obstructed leading to suffocation when they actually wake up in a start. Of course, there are other visible symptoms, which become apparent the day after the person feels his breathing irregular all of a sudden. There is a general restlessness or even agitation which accompanies the problem.
So, are there any treatments available to help with this condition?
Yes, there are some known sleep apnea treatment. One of the treatment advise given was to sleep sideways rather than on the back. This position prevents obstruction to the airway. Sometimes, doctors will recommend some drugs for the patients to inhale. The inhaling of these drugs will allow the patient to sleep with an open airway.
